Former Rep.Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) made a joke during an interview on PBS’s Firing Line that made the host, Margaret Hoover, laugh a lot. She joked about Sen.Mitch McConnell.
McConnell was last seen on Capitol Hill on June 11.
Since then, he has been either in the hospital after a fall, in a rehabilitation facility, or at home, according to his office.
Hoover started the interview by saying, “I wanted to invite you to join the program today because you have firsthand insight into the current chaos on the political right and where the GOP might go when President Trump’s term ends.”
Greene replied, “From the start, my focus has always been on America First, which is part of MAGA, and that group has now split off.” She added, “Now I think I speak for a lot of Americans who feel completely ignored and treated unfairly by the Republican Party.”

Hoover asked Greene about Trump calling her a “traitor.”
“Yes, he means a traitor to him,” Greene said.
“The president wants loyalty, but my loyalty isn’t to Donald Trump. So, when he called me a traitor, it didn’t hurt me at all.In fact, people thank me every day in public for standing up for what I believe.”
“And I never went to Washington to hold on to power until I’m dead or alive, like Mitch McConnell.
We don’t even know where he is!” Greene said, as Hoover tried not to laugh.
“I never wanted a long career in Washington.
I just wanted to make a difference. So, I take his words as just hot air. They mean nothing to me,” Greene said.
Greene also talked about how women aren’t respected in today’s Republican Party under Trump.
“I think there’s a lot more to women than how they look, dress, or present themselves,” she said.
“And it shouldn’t be about skimpy clothes, a lot of plastic surgery.Women deserve so much more.”
“I don’t think women are respected in the Republican Party.
It’s a boys’ club, and it starts from the top. That’s really a shame. And then you have the president constantly attacking women.”
Greene added, “Many women aren’t voting for Republicans anymore, and I’m hearing that more often.
They don’t take us seriously for what we can contribute. They just want to keep power for themselves.I think the Republican Party is suffering because of that.”
