Donald Trump posted a video on Saturday that appears to have been made by an AI.The video shows a group of buff, bequiffed, and armed “Donald Ducks” patrolling the shores of “Lake America.”
This came after Trump signed an executive order to rename Lake Ontario as “Lake America” during a trade dispute with Canada, a close U.S.
ally and trading partner.
The 34-second video is set to the theme song from *Hawaii Five-O*.
It shows a group of Canada geese marching along the Great Lake. The geese look like humans, carry assault rifles, and have Trump’s signature blond hairdo. They then fire their weapons into the air as fireworks light up the skyline of a city that looks like Toronto.

Earlier in the week, Trump announced that the U.S.
was considering renaming Lake Ontario. He also posted a TikTok video where he used a Sharpie to mark a map of the lake.”We’re gonna make a little change; we’re gonna call it something different than Lake Ontario,” he said.

Any doubt that this was just a joke was gone on Thursday, when Trump signed an executive order telling federal agencies to refer to Lake Ontario as “Lake America” in all official documents.
This move is similar to his effort last year to rename the Gulf of Mexico as the “Gulf of America.”
While the president can direct how the federal government refers to geographic areas, he can’t force other countries, private companies, or even U.S.
states to follow his lead.
Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney responded on X.
He said the name “Lake Ontario” comes from the Wendat word “Ontari’io,” meaning “the lake is beautiful, the lake is big.” The name is over 400 years old, older than Canada’s Confederation and the U.S. Declaration of Independence.

Carney added, “Canadians know that naming reality means calling it Lake Ontario—then, now, and always.”
Relations between the U.S.
and Canada has gotten worse since Trump took office. This includes his repeated claims that Canada should become the “51st state.” Tensions rose further this week over trade.
On August 22, the U.S.
imposed 50 percent tariffs on about $20 billion in Canadian exports after talks between Ottawa and Washington broke down. The Trump administration accused Canada of treating U.S.businesses unfairly.
Carney denied these claims and called the tariffs an act of war.
In response, he imposed tariffs of up to 50 percent on a range of U.S.goods.
The trade war has also turned into a war of words.
This week, Trump criticized Ontario Premier Doug Ford in a post on Truth Social, calling him a “blustering flunky” who needs to “fall in line.”
At a news conference, Ford called Trump a “dictator,” a “bully,” and the “king of bankruptcies.” He also told Trump to “kiss my a…”
