CNN reporter Kaitlan Collins asked Trump about the war in Iran during a White House press conference on Monday.Trump was speaking in the Oval Office when he suddenly stopped the session and got angry at CNN.He had just said the U.S.was planning to increase attacks on Iran, including a new blockade in the Strait of Hormuz.
Collins asked, “The U.S.
is bombing Iran again.You’ve been bombing Iran for months now.Is this just the new normal for the American people?”
Trump started criticizing CNN and its coverage of the Iran conflict.
“All they have is fake news because the fake news would rather see us lose the war,” Trump said.
Collins replied, “You argued Iran couldn’t have ballistic missiles.”
But Trump kept focusing on CNN and “fake news.”
“Which is really treasonous in a certain way.
So we’re doing another very major attack tonight,” Trump said.
After his outburst, Trump abruptly ended the press conference, and his aides quickly moved reporters out of the room.
