“If you were listing 1,000 adjectives to describe this guy, ‘masculine’ wouldn’t make the list,” Cruz said about the Democratic candidate. “I mean, if a gentle wind came by, it would blow him over like a feather.”
The childish way Cruz attacked Talarico shows that Republicans have nothing real to say about him.
Talarico is a faithful Christian and has served in the Texas House of Representatives. Meanwhile, his opponent was impeached by his own party while working as state attorney general for bribery, and his wife left him because of his cheating.
“Says the man who still follows a politician who said his father killed JFK and made fun of his wife’s looks,” Joe Scarborough said on his show, pointing out that Cruz eagerly accepted Trump’s insults and rushed to support him.
“Don’t think most Americans see masculinity that way.”
During the 2016 Republican primary, Trump told Cruz he would “spill the beans” about his wife Heidi and posted a photo that made her look unflattering.
Coming from a man who sees women only as objects, the message was clear: You’re less of a man because your wife isn’t beautiful.
“Oh, yes, soft-handed Ted Cruz, the symbol of real manliness,” mocked former Republican strategist Rick Wilson.
“Is it masculine to run from a storm?”
Chris Cuomo wrote on X. “Is it masculine to let a man insult you, call your wife ugly, call your father a criminal…and then kiss his butt?”
“@SenTedCruz the guy who didn’t stand up for his wife and fled Texas as a brutal snowstorm was arriving in Texas, talking about the meaning of ‘masculine’ hello?”
wrote celebrity chef José Andres, adding several laughing emojis.
The general agreement is clear: no one sees Ted Cruz as a real man.
A real man defends his family and his country. He doesn’t give up his morals just for a little bit of power.
