The lawyer for Andrew Tate, a manosphere influencer, warned Republicans that there could be serious consequences if President Donald Trump doesn’t help him with his legal problems that are reaching a critical point in the United Kingdom.
Both Andrew and his brother Tristan Tate are currently in a Miami jail as they fight to avoid being sent back to the UK.
They are facing 59 charges related to rape and sex trafficking.The brothers have denied all these allegations.
In July, when reporters asked White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, “Is President Trump or the administration planning to step in to help with the extradition of the Tate brothers?” she replied, “No.”
Similarly, Secretary of State Marco Rubio said, “There’s no role for us to play now, or maybe ever, in that situation.
I won’t comment on that.”
Now, the Tates are threatening to stop supporting the Republican Party in the upcoming elections unless Trump helps them — and they might take their millions of young male followers with them.
Andrew Tate’s lawyer, Joseph McBride, told Vanity Fair, “Andrew Tate played a key role in helping President Trump win.
If Trump doesn’t support him, and if future candidates are willing to let him go, that group of young supporters will leave the Republican Party in the next election.”
McBride made this point on an Instagram post, writing, “AOC will be the next President without the Manosphere and Andrew Tate.”
The Trump administration has reportedly help the Tates out of a jam before, like when they were under house arrest in Romania and unable to return to the United States. According to Vanity Fair:
Trump special envoy Ric Grenell, a public supporter of the Tates, had reportedly raised their case with Romanian officials at an international security conference in Munich. The Tates’ triumphant return to Miami functioned as something of a litmus test for conservative personalities, with some declaring that their brand of masculinity had no place in the party. Trump himself took a decidedly neutral stance that didn’t ostracize his celebrity fans. When asked in the Oval Office whether his administration had lobbied Romania to lift the travel ban, he said, “I know nothing about that.”
Representative Jamie Raskin (D-MD) started an investigation into Trump’s possible involvement, saying, “Reports show that senior U.S.
officials lobbied Romanian authorities to remove restrictions on the Tates, who claim women are responsible for being sexually assaulted, which allowed them to travel without the permission of their alleged victims.One of the Tates’ former lawyers, Paul Igrassia, now works as the White House Liaison for the Department of Justice.”
The case, which was filed in April 2025, is still open.
Also, Adler wrote that “Barron [Trump] is known to be a fan of Andrew’s, and Don Jr.
once appeared on a livestream with Tate to promote a MAGA meme coin.After the assassination attempt on Trump in July 2024, Tate told reporters he was ‘very close with the Trump family’ and had spoken to Barron about the shooting.”
With Democrats needing only three seats to gain control of the House in the midterms, every vote matters.
Whether this situation will lead Trump to try and keep the support of young men through the Tate brothers is still uncertain.
