Donald Trump has a negative image of what he thinks the new presidential library for former President Barack Obama will turn into. He shared an AI-generated picture showing what he believes the library will look like in 2036 — a large grey trash bin with a big black bag of waste spilling out of it. Around it are homeless people and tents. The image shows the homeless people walking around the ugly building, with a gloomy Chicago skyline behind it.
Trump’s post was labeled: “The Barack Hussein Obama Library, in 10 years, when fully matured!”
This isn’t the first time Trump has criticized Obama’s library.
Just last week, he posted a similar image of a massive grey garbage can with a large bag of trash sticking out.
Last year, Trump said he would have liked to help Obama because he is a “really good builder and I build on time, on budget.”
But he said Obama’s library was nothing short of a “disaster.”
He also said Obama’s plan to use minority-owned businesses in building the library didn’t help.
Trump added, “(Obama) said something to the effect of, ‘I only want DEI. I only want woke.’ He wants woke people to build it.” Trump then said, “Well, he’s got woke people.”
USA Today reported that about 35% of the subcontractors would be minority-owned businesses, 15% women-owned, and 9% from the greater Chicago area.
The 19-acre Obama presidential library is set to open on June 19.
The original cost was estimated at around $300 million but has now risen to $850 million.
As for his own presidential library, Trump said earlier this year it will “most likely” also serve as a hotel.
This was when his son Eric Trump revealed that the Trump library in Miami will look a lot like the One World Trade Center in New York City.
