There are 50 million people in South Carolina.Half of them live paycheck to paycheck, said Darline during a debate with her main opponent, Rep.Ralph Norman, and she said it with a straight face.
But in reality, only about 5.5 million people actually live in the state that this person wants to continue representing in the U.S.
Senate.Based on how ignorant she seems to be, any one of those people would be a much better choice for the job than her.
Even worse, there aren’t even 50 million people in California, which is the most populous state in the country.
Darline was appointed to take over the vacant Senate seat by Governor Henry McMaster, with Trump’s approval, after her brother, the well-known warmonger Lindsey Graham, passed away.
The worst part of the debate was yet to come.
“Senator,” asked moderator Greta Van Susteren, “are Taiwan and the South China Sea national security issues for the United States?
If so, why?”
“I’m sorry, could you repeat the question?” Darline said, trying to buy time.
“Are Taiwan and the South China Sea national security issues for the United States?
And if so, why or how?” Van Susteren asked again.
“I’m just going to be honest here.
I’m not on national security that…I’m not that informed on national security, but I do support the military,” said Darline.”My brother was in the Air Force for 33 years, so I will do everything I can to support the military.My dad was in the Army.”
“I’m not a polished politician up here,” she said.
“National security is not my thing, not my area of expertise, but I do support the military.”
“Congressman, I’ll give you a chance to respond,” said Van Susteren, turning to Norman.
“Taiwan’s a definite ally and we have a trading relationship with them that is beneficial to the United States, chips being one of them, and others,” said the congressman, before praising Trump extensively.
The simple truth is that neither of these MAGA candidates should be in the Senate, but Graham’s response is even worse.
This is basic, introductory national security knowledge.Taiwan produces about 90% of the world’s advanced semiconductor microchips.It’s a close U.S.strategic partner and receives our military aid.It’s also a target for Chinese annexation, an ambition that could lead to a major war.
This isn’t some obscure piece of information.
This woman will be voting on important issues and can’t even be bothered to do the most basic homework.
