A big mess happened at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner when a security problem made everyone leave the ballroom quickly. While the Secret Service and others rushed to handle things, FBI Director Kash Patel was seen walking around the hallway without a plan, looking confused and not doing anything to lead the response.
Just before this, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and his wife Cheryl Hines were taken into an elevator.
Then Jeanine Pirro came out. Patel ran through the hallway with two people behind him, but his girlfriend, country singer Alexis Wilkins, was reportedly in a room with another man who was holding her hand.
Reporters were finally let back into the ballroom, and the dinner continued as if nothing had happened.
The way things looked was really bad.
As the FBI director, you’d expect Patel to be taking charge, directing agents, and making sure everything was safe. Instead, he seemed like someone who didn’t know what to do.
Many people believe Patel is already in trouble.
He’s been reported to have heavy drinking issues, missing time without explanation, and acting strangely.
And when he was needed to deal with a big security situation at a major event in Washington, instead of stepping up and leading, he was just walking around, looking confused, while his girlfriend was hiding with another man.
