A company linked to Eric Trump, son of President Donald Trump, has received a new contract from the Pentagon, sparking questions from Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.). Warren has been vocal about this and other contracts involving the Trump family, marking another criticism of the president and his family.
Foundation Future Industries, a company with Eric Trump or Donald Trump Jr. as advisors, has recently secured a government contract.
This has drawn attention from Warren, who criticized the deal on social media, suggesting it’s a form of corruption.
Warren shared a tweet from journalist Aaron Rupar, who reported that Eric Trump discussed the company’s $24 million Pentagon contract on a Fox News show.
In response, White House spokesperson Anna Kelly dismissed the criticism, calling it a repetitive narrative from Democrats and asserting that there are no conflicts of interest.
Eric Trump appeared on Fox’s “Mornings with Maria” alongside the CEO of Foundation Future Industries, Sankaet Pahak.
They highlighted the $24 million contract, which is for testing humanoid robots. Trump emphasized the importance of staying ahead of China in technology development.
This isn’t the first time the Trump family’s involvement in business has raised ethical concerns.
For instance, when Donald Trump Jr. joined the advisory board of Unusual Machines, the company received a significant Army order, which led to a surge in its stock price. Similarly, Donald Trump Jr. is an investor in Vulcan Elements, a rare earth company that got a $620 million Pentagon loan.
Both Eric and Donald Trump are also involved with PowerUps, a Florida-based drone company aiming for military contracts, as reported by the Wall Street Journal.
Other publicly traded companies with ties to the Trump sons include Dominari Holdings, New America Acquisition I Corp, PSQ Holdings, GrabAGun Digital Holdings, and Trump Media & Technology Group.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt previously addressed the issue, stating that there are no conflicts of interest with the Trump family’s investments.
She criticized the media for fabricating conflicts and said the Trump family has never engaged in such issues.
