The president has always been upset with her because she does her job, asks hard questions, and won’t back down when he gets angry. Last night, she had a satisfying moment when she shared the news about the president’s embarrassment.
Collins welcomed Dan Lamothe, a reporter from the Washington Post, who uncovered the story.
She said, “Dan, this is a great scoop and very detailed reporting. Can you explain what you found?”
Lamothe explained, “For weeks, people have been talking about two Air Force One planes—one newer from Qatar and an older one used over the years.
But in reality, the president wasn’t on either plane. The Washington Post got this information because some people thought there was a misunderstanding that needed to be cleared up.”
One of the key points was that Trump had put the entire White House press team and many of his staff in danger by using them as a distraction while he left in a catering truck.
Lamothe added, “It’s surprising that an Air Force One call sign was used on a plane the president wasn’t actually on.”
After dealing with so many harsh comments from Trump, it must have been very satisfying for Collins to break this story on live TV.
