Like a really hateful crow, the President of the United States is easily fooled by shiny things, and nothing makes the crazy self-lover happier than seeing himself shown off in his favorite kind of stuff – cheap shiny gold.
So it was easy for 73-year-old artist Alan Cottrill to suggest making a statue of the president to put at the Trump National Doral golf course.
“They loved the idea, of course.
It’s like offering ice water to someone who’s dying of thirst. It wasn’t hard to sell.”
Cottrill made the statue out of bronze and then got the Trump team to pay him another $60,000 to cover it in gold leaf.
In total, he got almost half a million dollars from Trump and the $PATRIOT memecoin group, who paid a lot to “license” the statue’s image.
But Trump, a man who lies to himself and everyone else every day, went to Truth Social this morning to say that it was “The Real Deal – GOLD – At Doral in Miami.
Put there by great American Patriots!!!”
It’s not actually gold, and he put it there himself.
It’s really sad to see the President of the United States lying to himself and the country just to feel the pride and respect he so badly wants but can never really get.
