Britain and France both turned down the plan, with France’s President Macron suggesting instead a group of countries work together to make sure ships can move safely, not Trump’s plan that could lead to dangerous military actions.
This follows Trump’s strong statement on his social media site, where he said “Other Countries will be involved with this Blockade,” but in the end, he was the only one supporting it, as his allies moved away from his actions.
