Donald Trump used one of his usual political jabs on Wednesday night by sharing a strange AI-made video that shows him as a doctor treating famous people who he says have “Trump Derangement Syndrome.” The video, which is about 90 seconds long, was posted on Trump’s Truth Social account. It includes fake quotes from well-known Hollywood stars like Whoopi Goldberg, Rosie O’Donnell, Robert De Niro, Julia Roberts, and Edward Norton.
The video starts with an AI version of Trump dressed as a doctor, asking viewers, “Have you or someone you know been diagnosed with TDS?” He then explains that he is “Doctor Trump” and has a treatment plan.
The video goes on to show several celebrities as “patients” in the video.
An AI version of De Niro says he couldn’t eat or sleep, was always angry, and made everyone around him miserable.
An AI version of Roberts says she felt like she had aged 20 years and started worrying about her future.O’Donnell says she’s been suffering for over a decade, and Goldberg claims she thought she was a “lost cause.”
Norton and actor John Leguizamo, who are known to criticize Trump, also appear in the video.
At the end, the AI version of Trump reveals his humorous “prescription” for dealing with TDS.He says, “Turn off fake news,” “say your prayers,” and “have a Diet Coke like me,” which he claims will improve someone’s life.
Trump has often accused his political opponents and media critics of having “Trump Derangement Syndrome,” a term he has used many times during his political career.
Earlier this year, he even suggested from the Oval Office that the condition might be an actual disease.
Several of the celebrities in the video have been vocal critics of Trump.
De Niro has referred to Trump as an “existential threat to our freedoms and security.” Goldberg said in the 2024 campaign that Trump wanted to be a “dictator for life.” O’Donnell and Trump have had a public feud for over two decades.Roberts also narrated a pro-Kamala Harris voter ad during the 2024 presidential campaign, which was against Trump.
