The first lady did not find Kimmel’s jokes about her very amusing. If we had to guess, it was probably the part where he said, “Melania, this is Donald. Donald, this is Melania. That was my impression of Jeffrey Epstein,” that really upset her.
Her strange press conference, where she said, “I was not sex-trafficked by Jeffrey Epstein, so stop saying that I was,” shows she is very sensitive about this issue—and she has something to hide.
In a rare public statement, Melania criticized Kimmel for using “hateful and violent rhetoric” and asked the parent company, ABC, to stop “enabling” his “atrocious” behavior.
She said:
“Kimmel’s hateful and violent rhetoric is meant to divide our country.
His monologue about my family isn’t comedy—his words are harmful and make the political problems in America worse.”
“People like Kimmel shouldn’t be allowed to come into our homes every night to spread hate.”
“A coward, Kimmel hides behind ABC because he knows the network will protect him.”
“Enough is enough.
It’s time for ABC to take a stand. How many times will ABC’s leaders let Kimmel act this way at the cost of our community?”
Hey, Melania, if you’re worried about “hateful and violent” talk, maybe you should talk to your husband, who never stops spreading it all day and into the night.
If she’s really worried about people connecting her to Jeffrey Epstein, maybe she should appear before Congress and tell the truth under oath.
