In a strong and honest post on X, experienced journalist Maria Kennedy Shriver sharply criticized Donald Trump’s long history of being rude and aggressive toward women in the media.
She wrote, “I’ve been thinking a lot about the President of the United States’ strange and intense reactions towards female journalists.
It feels like he reserves his most childish and unreasonable words for female reporters, using names that even kids in kindergarten would get in trouble for.”
Shriver pointed out Trump’s recent outbursts, like his angry outburst at CNN’s Kaitlan Collins during a press briefing and his recent attack on NBC’s Kristen Welker on Meet the Press, where he was disrespectful, called them names, told them to “smile,” and questioned their skills and trustworthiness.
“It’s shocking to see such behavior from a leader… Every decent man should speak against this.
Every person should support their colleagues and say ‘No more.'”
Then JFK’s niece spoke up directly:
“Imagine this man treating your daughter, your wife, your sister, or your mother this way.
Would you allow it? No, you wouldn’t! And none of us should either. It’s not acceptable or respectful. That’s it. End of discussion.”
Of course, she’s right.
This isn’t “tough talk.” Any other 79-year-old man, especially someone claiming to be the leader of the United States and the free world, who acts like a child and uses insults aimed at younger women doing their jobs would be fired or not accepted in a normal society.
Shriver clearly said that the President of the United States is causing a national disgrace.
He doesn’t act like a leader who should be focused on ideas and policies. He’s just a weak, insecure, sexist bully who believes women should be controlled and scared – how dare they ask him hard or uncomfortable questions.
Shriver made clear what millions of Americans are thinking.
