Maria Bartiromo is speaking up after FOX News made a surprising announcement that she is no longer with the network “effective immediately.” In a statement given to Parade by her lawyer, Bryan Freedman, he criticized the “irresponsible” news about her leaving, especially the claims that she was fired.
The statement said, “For many years, Maria Bartiromo hosted three number-one-rated television shows on Fox channels.
She has been, without question, one of the hardest-working journalists throughout her award-winning career.”
It continued, “The irresponsible reports that have been published stating that Maria Bartiromo was fired or is no longer an employee of Fox are absolutely and unequivocally false.
Make no mistake, we have the receipts and witnesses and they will come out whether through the courthouse or otherwise. Those reporting her firing or the incredulous facts supporting that fiction have exhibited a complete and utter reckless disregard for the truth.”
FOX News announced Bartiromo’s departure on Thursday, September 3.
The press release said, “We thank Maria for her work over the last 12 ½ years and wish her all the best on her next chapter.” It also mentioned that her show will now be hosted by a rotating cast of anchors and will be renamed “Mornings With Fox Business.” Her other show, “Maria Bartiromo’s Wall Street,” will also no longer have her name.
President Donald Trump also commented on her exit, calling her “a true warrior.” He wrote on Truth Social, “I can’t believe Maria Bartiromo is no longer going to have her great show(s) on FoxNews/Business.
Three different shows, always number one.Maria is a total professional, and a true warrior.” He added, “Her fans, of which there are many, will not be happy.God bless you, Maria!President DONALD J.TRUMP.”
There were also rumors that Bartiromo’s exit might be related to her replacing Karoline Leavitt as Trump’s press secretary, but this was quickly denied by Vice President JD Vance.
He said, “I love Maria.I think she’s an amazing person, amazing talent.Whatever she does, look, she’s gonna do great, and I wish her all the best.”
