Hunter Biden recently made one of his strongest criticisms yet of Donald Trump, claiming that Trump has corrupted the government so deeply that the current laws and procedures can’t control him anymore.
He asked, “What can we do to stop this president’s lawlessness while still following the rules of Congress, oversight, and the Constitution as it is now?”
And he admitted, “I don’t know the answer to that.”
Then he directly attacked Trump.
“Donald Trump is the biggest threat because he’s broken everything,” Hunter said.
“He’s a real crime boss.”
“We are going through a one-man crime wave around the world right now.”
Hunter argues that Trump is benefiting from some of the most violent conflicts in the world, which as president should be resolving.
“He’s making money from the Iran war.
He’s making money from Gaza. He’s making money from the death and destruction of thousands of people,” Hunter said.“And that’s not even the tip of the iceberg.”
These are big claims, but they come with a clear irony.
For years, Republicans focused on Hunter Biden’s business deals as part of their attacks on his father.
Now, Hunter is using the same corruption argument against Trump, saying the problem is larger than any single scandal.
In his view, Trump has damaged the checks and balances meant to hold a president in check so much that the country will eventually have to figure out how to fix the system.
“He’s broken it.
He’s broken the whole system,” Hunter said.“The question is – how do we rebuild it in a way that it never happens again?”
