U.S. District Judge Christopher Cooper has ordered the Trump administration to take down all signs at the center that have Trump’s name on them and to remove any mention of a “Trump Kennedy Center” from official documents within just 14 days.
Cooper’s decision is a permanent order stating that the center’s board of trustees, which is filled with Trump’s supporters, cannot go ahead with their plans to shut down the center for two years.
This unusual closure was first announced after many well-known artists canceled their performances because of Trump’s involvement with the center, and ticket sales were also low. The judge clearly stated that no signs should suggest that the building is named after anyone other than President John F. Kennedy. Cooper criticized the board for providing a “one-sided and inadequate” view of information when they tried to close the center.
He pointed out that federal law clearly states the center is named for Kennedy, a real President. This loss in court is a significant setback for Trump because, unlike issues like the Iran War or rising grocery prices, this is something he truly cares about.
As it becomes more obvious that he will be remembered as the worst President in American history, a leader who let down his people, future generations, and basic ethics, Trump has been trying hard to create some kind of legacy for himself.
This obsession also explains his focus on places like his ballroom, the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool, his Triumph Arch, and putting his image on a $250 bill. And this isn’t the end! All of these self-serving projects need to be stopped, taken apart, and destroyed. When Trump finally leaves office, it will be in total shame and disgrace, with his name removed from every single part of the center!
