BREAKING: Trump Could STEAL Black Navy Hero’s Name With His Own on New Aircraft Carrier!

A U.S.aircraft carrier that was planned to be named after a Black hero from Pearl Harbor might now be named after Donald Trump, according to a new report.

During Trump’s first term, the Navy said a new Ford-class carrier being built would be called the USS Doris Miller to honor an enlisted sailor who helped protect the U.S.
during Japan’s attack on Dec.7, 1941.

But two anonymous sources told CNN that this plan had been canceled, and the Navy is now considering naming the newly built ship after Trump.

“The effort to rename the USS Doris Miller has been going on since earlier this year,” the sources said to CNN.

“The Navy is thinking about renaming another warship after Miller,” one of the sources added, “and is suggesting he be given the Medal of Honor, which is the highest honor for bravery in the military.” The final decision on the award, however, is up to Congress and also requires approval from Trump.

Although naming an aircraft carrier after a current president would be “a very unusual move,” CNN reported that Acting Secretary of the Navy Hung Cao is looking into how to change the official rules for naming ships and who they can be named after, including presidents.

Doris “Dorie” Miller, from Waco, Texas, was a Mess Attendant Third Class when Japan attacked on Dec.
7, 1941.Instead of doing his usual job of washing clothes that day, Miller helped his injured commanding officer and then, even though he had never been trained on it, took over an anti-aircraft gun and started shooting at the Japanese planes.

Miller’s great-nephew told CNN that the family had not been told about the change in the ship’s name, but he called the effort to give Miller the Medal of Honor “very positive.”

A Defense Department spokesperson told CNN, “They had nothing to announce at this time.”
