While out in public, Trump has been saying for weeks that Iran is asking to make a deal to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. But the truth is just the opposite.
Iran doesn’t want to talk to Trump because he’s shown he can’t be trusted to keep any promises, which has put Trump in a really tough spot.
Recently, Trump reportedly told his top advisors that he might be okay with Tehran reopening the Strait of Hormuz without making a bigger deal about Iran’s nuclear program, according to U.S.
officials who spoke to The Wall Street Journal.
However, sensing they have the advantage, Iran has raised their demands for the Strait to be reopened.
Mediaite reports that Mohammad Bagher Zolghadr, a top official in Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, said Washington would have to end the war, pull out U.S.
forces, remove sanctions and the naval blockade, return frozen Iranian money, and pay for war damages, as reported by Iranian state media.
So, to put it simply, when Trump first took office, there was a strong agreement on Iran’s nuclear program made by President Obama, and the Strait of Hormuz was open.
Now there’s no deal, the Strait is closed, Iran is very angry, has attacked all our bases in the Middle East, has used up our weapons, killed 14 Americans, and thousands of Iranians, including many children.
All of this happened because Trump acted like a loser and admitted defeat, which is why the rising cost of gas and everything else is going to hurt his remaining political power.
Once we regain control, there should be trials and people should be sent to jail for this complete disaster.
