Fox News pollsters, who tend to favor MAGA views, found that in just a few months, Gina, a former school president and current state legislator, has gone from 42% support in the polls to 49% – tying closely with Texas Governor Greg Abbott, who is seen as corrupt and out of control, and has allowed big businesses to take over Texas.
Gina’s rise has been because her campaign has focused on the real concerns of Texans, like healthcare, the economy, and fighting against AI data centers.
This is surprising because, unlike her Democratic rival James Talarico, Gina had to start from the bottom and work her way up.
James Talarico is a strong candidate, but he had some big advantages from the start.
His opponent, Ken Paxton, isn’t an incumbent, had to win a tough primary race, and is dealing with a lot of scandals.
So, the fact that Gina is so close in a right-leaning poll shows something is changing in Texas – and we need to make sure Blexas becomes a reality.
