Donald Trump’s celebration of America’s 250th birthday is, in many ways, a reflection of the Trump administration itself — a weird, right-wing circus that’s not popular with most Americans, said Psaki on MS NOW.”And just like the Trump administration, this event is also full of corruption.”
She’s right that the Great American State Fair isn’t popular, which is why social media is full of photos showing how few people are showing up.
Almost no one wants to go to this event except the most extreme MAGA supporters. And it seems Mother Nature is also against the fair because it had to close temporarily because of a record heatwave in D.C.
“Now, to put on this celebration, Trump is using $68 million in taxpayer money, and at least part of that money is going to a company called Event Strategies Incorporated,” Psaki continued.
“This company is run by Trump allies and was also in charge of organizing Trump’s Ellipse rally on January 6th.We’ve talked about them before.”

“We don’t know how much of that $68 million went to the fair and how much went to Event Strategies Incorporated, but so far, that money has gone toward a shoddy Ferris wheel that keeps losing power, a couple of tents with just chairs, a version of Trump’s planned arch that looks like it’s falling apart and is held together with a quick fix, and some strange entertainment — half of which is just Trump officials sitting on stage while they fill time,” she continued.
The model of the Victory Arch has been especially embarrassing.
Besides looking cheap and poorly built, it’s also leaking a gross yellow substance that looks like caulk or expanding foam. It’s surprising that Trump is even thinking about a Victory Arch when he lost his war with Iran and has no real wins to show for it.
“So how much of that $68 million really went to the state fair, and how much did Event Strategies Incorporated keep for themselves?” Psaki asked.
Right now, we don’t know. The New York Times tried to get the company to say how much money they were being paid, but they refused to tell.
“They later said the firm was making a profit of 3.5% on that payment, but we don’t know what that means.
And the Trump-backed organization running the event also refused to say how much the event has cost so far,” she added.
“But it gets worse because that $68 million isn’t the only money going to this event.
Trump’s team also asked for donations to help pay for this half-baked celebration,” said Psaki.”And a new report by Congressman Jared Huffman says some of those donors were misled about where their money was going.”
It looks like we have another big mess of corruption, theft, and criminal activity to look into when Democrats take back power.
We need a full investigation into this fair and an explanation of where every single tax dollar went.
