CNN anchor and White House reporter Kaitlan Collins made a joke about President Donald Trump by comparing him to former President Barack Obama, especially after the recent Iran deal happened.
Since Trump signed the Iran agreement at the Palace of Versailles, people from all sides of politics and beliefs have criticized it.
Many think it’s not as good as the deal Obama made with Iran, which Trump recently ended.
On Thursday’s show of CNN’s The Source with Kaitlan Collins, Collins started with a video that showed Trump as someone very focused on his legacy, and compared him to Obama.
The video began with Trump bragging about having power like Hitler, and ended with Obama speaking at his presidential center about his beliefs in fairness, checks and balances, and the rule of law.
Collins said that Trump is facing criticism from his own party over the agreement, but he still acts like he’s comparing himself to some of the most dangerous leaders in history.
Recently, Trump shared a document that claims he’s more powerful than people like Attila the Hun, Genghis Khan, Stalin, and Hitler. He said, “Sounds good to me.”
This document was actually written by a caddy who works for a famous golfer, and not a real historian.
This was revealed in a new book called “Regime Change” by journalists Maggie Haberman and Jonathan Swan. They said Trump showed them the same document when they interviewed him earlier this year.
In an interview with Axios, Trump said there are no limits to his power.
When asked about the conflict with Iran, he claimed that the agreement is like getting unconditional surrender, even though it doesn’t look like that.
Collins also played a clip of Trump criticizing Obama’s deal with Iran, calling it one of the worst deals ever.
He said Obama was on Iran’s side and that the deal made it easier for Iran to build nuclear weapons. He also claimed he ended the deal that Obama made.
Meanwhile, Obama gave a speech at his presidential center, where he talked about values like fairness, the rule of law, and peace.
He contrasted his views with those of other leaders.Trump was not there, which was surprising but not unexpected.
At the White House, Trump was giving out medals, joking about wanting one for himself.
On Capitol Hill, some Republicans questioned the terms of the Iran deal.
One Republican leader even said the $300 billion fund for rebuilding Iran would make Obama’s deal look small in comparison. This was a surprising criticism of Roger Wicker.
