Jimmy Kimmel responded to President Donald Trump on Tuesday night after Trump bragged that he had already dealt with former Late Show host Stephen Colbert and warned that others were next.
On Monday evening, Trump posted several messages on Truth Social, happy about his political wins, saying he had “taken out” critics during the Republican primaries and mentioned the cancellation of Colbert’s show “, REALLY DUMB.”

He joked that there were “three more limping Late Night Talk Show Hosts” left to take down, and claimed a “38-0” record in removing critics.
Kimmel, who often makes fun of Trump in his shows and is a regular target of the president’s anger, thought he might be one of those left on the list.
In his monologue on Tuesday night, Kimmel said, “Last night, Repost Malone posted 47 times in 31 minutes, including another threat against late-night TV.”
He showed the post on screen and said: “Limping late-night talk show hosts?
I’m not sure I’d be calling us limping when you got cankles like this, honey.”
Then he showed a popular photo of Trump with swollen ankles, which has been a topic of discussion recently due to concerns about his health.
“Look at that,” Kimmel said as the photo appeared.
“It’s like they put a shoe on a balloon animal made out of sausage links.”
He also made fun of Trump’s recent Freedom 250 Concert: “Shouldn’t the president of the United States have more important things to focus on?
Like finding a replacement for Milli Vanilli at his Coachella From Hella on July 4th?”
