During Pete Hegseth’s Senate Armed Services Committee hearing today, which was led by Senator Roger Wicker (R-MS), a protester interrupted the meeting by shouting at the Defense Secretary. The protester said, “You’re a war criminal. You should be arrested. What you are doing is despicable!”
The person who interrupted was quickly taken out of the room.
This incident happens as Hegseth is facing increasing criticism for his part in Trump’s strong military actions, including the unlawful war with Iran that has already taken American lives and raised gas prices.
