The only Iranian-American member of the US Congress, an Arizona Democrat, released a video explaining her clear and important demands that Pete Hegseth, a qualified rapist, should be removed from the top leadership of the military right away.
She said, “What we’ve seen from the Trump administration this weekend has been really scary and horrifying.
The threats against Iranian civilian infrastructure and the whole country of Iran are extremely dangerous and terrible. Today, Donald Trump said, quote, the entire country could be taken out in one night, and that night might be tomorrow night. That was his quote. Iran is a country of 90 million people.”
“Threatening them with annihilation is a terrible war crime and puts them, American service members, and Americans in serious danger.
It also helps the Islamic Republic regime, helps them stay in power, gives them a convenient enemy, and punishes the civilian population.”
“As a main person behind this illegal war, Pete Hegseth is responsible for directing this crazy military action against Iran, which has already killed thousands of civilians, caused the unnecessary deaths of American soldiers, and displaced over a million people in the region.
That’s why I’m introducing articles of impeachment against Hegseth for repeatedly breaking his oath of office and the Constitution, including ignoring Congress and targeting civilian places in Iran, like water plants, hospitals, schools, and bridges.”
“As the top person in the Department of War, Pete Hegseth has a duty to follow the laws, set an example for other military officials, and stay committed to the Constitution.
He has done none of that. Instead, he has gone against the most basic principles the United States was built on, including separating powers, allowing Congress to oversee the military, and respecting the law.”
“That’s why I’m calling for Pete Hegseth’s impeachment and removal from office immediately.”
Pete Hegseth was reportedly one of the main people who convinced Trump to start this war.
He has said in the past that he wants to “kill Muslims” and is now carrying out that wish. He is firing our generals to increase his control over the military and make sure his supporters are in top positions. He is trying to indoctrinate our troops with Christian extremism, and he was caught trying to profit personally from this illegal war.
He is responsible for many terrible war crimes, including killing hundreds of innocent children, and he needs to be removed from office immediately and held accountable for his actions.
