UN Ambassador Mike Waltz completely lost his cool this morning on Meet the Press when Kristen Welker asked him about reports from Trump administration officials saying the U.S.has used so many bombs and missiles it can’t keep up with the war against Iran.
As usual, Waltz followed the “Trump Crisis Management Playbook” exactly.
That playbook only has two steps.
First, blame President Biden.
Second, say whoever said something you don’t like should be in jail.
Welker asked, “NBC News is reporting the Pentagon is actually rationing some defense weapons because supplies are running low.
Is America backing away from a bigger military attack because its military stockpile has been used up?” She was referencing reports that Trump called off a big attack on Iran because of concerns about weapons.
Waltz replied, “Well, let’s take a step back.
A lot of stockpiles were used up not just from what we gave to Ukraine over the last few years, like four or five years, but also from what the administration inherited.Secretary Hegseth inherited a depleted situation from Ukraine and also from the ongoing fight with the Houthis under the Biden administration, and a depleted military under the Biden administration.”
Then he added, “But I want to be clear—knowing they’re depleted; I want to be crystal clear that the U.S.
military, and I’ve checked this every way possible, has everything it needs to conduct this campaign effectively.And I have to tell you, the people leaking this nonsense deserve to be in jail!”
