The House might have just come back from another trip of the year, but Mike Johnson still isn’t in the mood to handle his duties as Speaker of the House.
The troubled Trump supporter completely lost it when CNN’s Manu Raju asked him about his role in Trump’s illegal and endless war with Iran.
“Mr. Speaker, you kept saying this war would end soon and that it would only be a short-term issue for gas prices. It’s been over six months now, and people are still paying more at the pump.Shouldn’t the American people hold you accountable for your wrong predictions?”
Johnson was surprised Raju would even ask that.
“That’s one of the stupidest questions you’ve ever asked,” he snapped.“I have nothing to do with running the war around the world.”
“Why is that stupid?
You’re the one selling this to the public, aren’t you?” Raju replied.
“Should the House Speaker be held responsible for how long a military conflict lasts around the world?
Answer that,” Johnson shot back before fleeing with his head down.
But here’s the thing, Mike Johnson – as Speaker of the House, it’s actually your job to be responsible for the length of military conflicts globally.
Under the U.S.Constitution, the power to declare war belongs only to Congress, not the President!
Just because you’ve given up all your power and just rubber-stamped Trump’s nonsense doesn’t mean the Constitution you swore to protect disappears!
