Things are really going well for the MAGA movement when Erika Kirk had to suddenly leave a college event for the Toilet Paper USA outreach because of a “security risk.” She was replaced by the second-choice speaker, who turned out to be the U.S. vice president.
It quickly became clear why Erika didn’t show up and let Vance take the hit: the room was almost empty, and the few students who showed up were very upset.
JD Vance was shouted at with things like “YOU’RE KILLING CHILDREN,” “YOU’RE BOMBING CHILDREN,” and “Jesus does not support genocide!”
as he tried to defend the Trump administration’s terrible actions and policies around the world.
Then he got questioned about the Epstein files and refused to promise a full investigation.
Instead, he tried to explain away Trump’s ridiculous dismissal of the Epstein scandal as a “Democratic hoax.”
“I don’t want powerful people involved in this disgusting behavior,” he said, “but I have to defend the president on this because when he said it was a hoax, what he was talking about was this Democratic idea that he was connected to Epstein.
Jeffrey Epstein hated Donald Trump, and Donald Trump hated Jeffrey Epstein.”
“When the president says this is a hoax, he’s not saying that Epstein was the scumbag.
He’s not saying it’s a hoax that Epstein was connected to powerful people. He’s saying this Democratic idea that somehow he was Epstein’s best friend is a hoax.”
But the idea that Trump and Epstein were best friends is the complete opposite of a hoax.
It’s a well-known fact, as Trump even sent him a birthday card with a poem about all the sex crimes they committed together.
Just tell the truth, Vance.
You have to defend the president on this after years of pushing for the release of the Epstein files for your own political goals, because Trump is your only way to power and relevance.
You’re a man with no principles and no good qualities, willing to lie and defend any crime to protect your access to Trump’s approval and keep flattering him in hopes that you can turn that into a third-place finish in the 2028 Iowa caucus.
Empty seats and angry voices are just the start of the backlash that Trump and his followers have caused among the American people.
