Right now, I’m stopping a Republican plan to build Donald Trump’s ballroom. Instead of just agreeing to Trump’s fancy ballroom, Congress should help American families save money, said Warren on X, sharing a video of her speech.
And what a speech it was.
This one made a lot of people in MAGA upset.
“Donald Trump said he would lower costs on day one.
But today is day four hundred and sixty-four of his presidency, and we’re in a serious affordability crisis,” Warren said on the Senate floor.
“We’re two months into Trump’s war with Iran.
Experts say this war is costing taxpayers over a billion dollars every day,” she said. “Families are struggling with rising costs on almost everything — groceries, rent, gas. Just today, gas prices hit a new high since Trump started this war. People are barely making ends meet just to pay their bills.”
“But what’s the biggest issue for Republicans in Congress?
Fast-tracking Donald Trump’s fancy ballroom!” Warren said in anger. “Now another Republican plan would give $400 million to the White House, maybe to buy more gold and marble for Trump’s new palace.”
After the attempt on Trump’s life at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, Republicans have been pushing hard to build Trump’s $400 million ballroom.
Originally, Trump said big companies would pay for this project — which is basically a way for companies to get into the White House.
But now, people like Lindsey Graham are saying that taxpayers should fund it.
“But I want to be clear,” Warren said.
“It’s common sense that we can protect the president without spending millions on Trump’s ballroom in the middle of a cost crisis. This bill to fast-track Trump’s new project is a slap in the face for American families. It’s simple and unfair.”
“Americans are selling their plasma to pay for groceries and gas!
” she continued. Think about that. Right now, people are selling their blood just to pay for their bills.
“And what’s the Republican solution?
Spend more money on Trump’s fancy ballroom,” Warren went on. “And do it fast, because it’s so urgent. Well, here are a few other things we could fast-track to actually help people…”
“We could undo Trump’s and the Republicans’ big healthcare cuts that removed millions from health insurance and raised costs for many more.

“We could provide affordable child care for every American family.
“
“We could restore food aid for families.
“
“We could stop Trump’s general tariffs.
“
“We could end Trump’s war with Iran.
“
“And the list goes on,” she said. “
But nothing on that list is fast-tracking Trump’s fancy ballroom. Remember, Trump’s ballroom is already being used for what looks like corruption. Since day one, big companies have given millions to Trump’s ballroom. And that includes Meta, Apple, Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Comcast, Coinbase, and Palantir. And those are just the ones we know about.”
“Others are staying secret from the American people because Trump has let them stay anonymous,” Warren continued. “
So what are they hiding? And what do these donors expect in return? Also, if Congress gives money to Trump’s ballroom, like some Republicans want, what happens to the private donations? If Trump is using his ballroom to allow a big pay-to-play scheme, the American people deserve to know.”
“Instead of spending more money on Trump’s gold ballroom, we need to stop this corruption and focus on helping American families save money,” she added. “
That’s what Democrats are all about. Republicans should join us and get this done!”
