This is a truly disgusting and low point for this president.
ABC’s Rachel Scott reported that she asked Trump if he had seen the video of Omar being attacked and sprayed with something.
“No, I don’t think about her,” Trump said.
But he often thinks about Omar and regularly insults her. He said, “I think she’s a fraud. I really don’t think about that. She probably had herself sprayed, knowing her.”
When asked if he had seen the video, Trump replied, “I haven’t seen it.
No, no. I hope I don’t have to bother.”
Any other president would have reached out to check on Omar after something like this.
But Trump doesn’t care about what happens to his political enemies—he actually enjoys it when they’re targeted. Words can’t fully express how disgusted we are with this man. He’s a total sociopath.
The attack happened during a town hall meeting in Minneapolis.
A man charged at Omar and sprayed her with a syringe full of a foul-smelling liquid while she was speaking against ICE’s violent actions in Minnesota.
Omar said, “ICE cannot be reformed, it cannot be rehabilitated, we must abolish ICE for good, and DHS Secretary Kristi Noem must resign or face impeachment.”
Right before the attack, she was asked to resign.
The incident was recorded on video.
Another man grabbed the attacker and tackled him to the ground. Omar, who never backs down, was seen stepping toward the attacker as if to fight back, but then realized the situation was under control. She returned to her speech after taking a short break to recover.
Omar said, “We will continue.
These f*cking a**holes are not going to get away with this.”
Omar’s spokesperson said, “During her town hall, an agitator tried to attack the Congresswoman by spraying an unknown substance with a syringe.
Security and the Minneapolis Police Department quickly apprehended the individual. He is now in custody. The Congresswoman is okay. She continued with her town hall because she doesn’t let bullies win.”
Omar wrote on X, “I’m ok.
I’m a survivor so this small agitator isn’t going to intimidate me from doing my work. I don’t let bullies win. Grateful to my incredible constituents who rallied behind me. Minnesota strong.”
The suspect, Anthony James Kazmierczak, was arrested for third-degree assault.
Let’s be clear here.
This attack is directly linked to Trump’s dehumanizing comments about Omar. He has called her “garbage” in the past. Just hours before the attack, he insulted her at a political rally, claiming she doesn’t love America.
“They have to show that they can love our country, they have to be proud.
Not like Ilhan Omar,” Trump said.
But in reality, Omar loves the United States more than Trump ever will.
He uses the flag for show while trying to destroy everything we value. Calling her a “fraud” is classic projection. He hates Omar because she is a woman of color, Muslim, and was born in Somalia. He’s a misogynist, Islamophobe, and racist.
Ilhan Omar is everything Trump pretends to be: a true public servant, a patriot, and a strong leader who doesn’t back down in the face of bullies.
