CNN anchor Kaitlan Collins recently showed viewers a surprising look at Donald Trump’s growing list of projects that carry his name. After a group of people chosen by Trump, who are part of the Kennedy Center board, decided to put his name back on the building, even though a federal judge had ordered it removed, Collins shared her thoughts on this unusual situation.
She started by saying, “The president’s main focus has been not just on the Kennedy Center, but also on making sure everything he touches is named after him.” She went on to list a number of things, including gold coins, Trump passports, National Park passes, the Palm Beach airport, a banner at the Justice Department, and even new battleships.
“There are many things, not just in Washington, but all across the country that now have the Trump name on them,” she said.
Collins also mentioned the White House ballroom, which Trump is considering naming after himself, and the Washington Commanders’ new stadium, which he wants to call Trump Stadium.
She didn’t mention the ironic twist of the U.S.Institute of Peace — which Trump had named after himself — almost immediately starting a war with Iran.
But the Kennedy Center seems to be the most strange example of Trump’s obsession with naming things after himself.
A federal judge had ordered Trump’s name removed from the building’s exterior, but Trump’s loyal board voted to find a way to put it back. They decided to add new lettering under the existing sign saying, “Restored and Renovated by President Donald J.Trump.”
Shawn McCreesh, a White House correspondent for the New York Times, made a point about these small events.
He said they show something bigger about Trump’s presidency.”These seem like small things, but they highlight how strange the behavior of those around Trump can be,” he said on Collins’ broadcast.”It’s very strange that a group of loyal people came together and said, no, we are going to put your name back on the wall even after we were told not to.”
Collins agreed, saying “‘Unique’ is a word for it.” She listed more of Trump’s branding efforts: gold coins, passports, park passes, government buildings, battleships, an airport, a football stadium, a White House ballroom, and now a group of loyalists trying to put Trump’s name back on the Kennedy Center after a federal judge ordered it removed.
At some point, a presidency stops acting like an administration and starts acting like a branding campaign.

Who wants to see a RAPIST, 34-COUNT Convicted Criminal, and a Twice-impeached image of Trump on coins, airports, streets, coffee cups, Tee-shirts, and buildings? That image is a disgrace to the Town or city and to the U.S. government for putting a rapist image on its coins and paper money. And passports?
