Former Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene said she is “in talks” about starting a new political party that she calls “true America-focused.” This comes just one week after she announced she was leaving the Republican Party.
During an interview on Piers Morgan’s show, “Uncensored,” Greene talked about forming this new party.
She said there are people who have “fought the system” and that if they come together, they could create a party that doesn’t follow the usual paths of Democrats and Republicans. She believes this party could bring together people from both the right and the left to move forward.
Morgan asked if her friend Tucker Carlson could lead a “splinter” version of the Republican Party.
Greene said she hasn’t talked to Carlson about it yet, but she thinks he would be a “great threat” to the political leaders of both parties if he ran for office.
When asked about starting a new party, Greene said:
“I am in talks with people and there are serious conversations happening, looking at what are the mechanics of that and the reality of it.”
She also said that the American people need to get involved, as they are the ones who really push for campaigns.
If the American people really want to challenge the current two-party system, they need to take action.
Greene added that it will take more than just a few people like her and Tucker to make this happen.
It will require a serious effort from everyone.

She tried to keep expectations realistic, saying it would take a few election cycles to start a real third party.
This interview happened after Greene said she was “DONE” voting for Republicans.
She made that announcement shortly after Tucker Carlson said the same thing.
Carlson said, “I would not support the Republican Party.
There’s no chance I would support the Republican Party.” He continued, “I’m not going to support the Democratic Party — I’m not sure what I’m going to do.”
He explained that he can’t support a party that puts the interests of a foreign country, like Israel, above those of the United States.
He said that President Trump’s 2024 campaign has been largely funded by people loyal to Israel, which has forced Trump to make decisions that aren’t in the best interest of the country.
Trump has dismissed these claims, saying in March about the Iran war that “If anything, I might’ve forced Israel’s hand.” And earlier this month, he said Israel has “no choice” but to accept whatever deal he cuts with Iran.
Like Carlson, Greene was once a strong Trump supporter but has since become a critical voice in the MAGA movement.
Her focus on the files related to the deceased sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, which she felt the Trump administration wasn’t doing enough to release, led to her falling out with Trump last year.
Trump called her a “traitor” and withdrew his support for her, and Greene soon left Congress.
She said she had to quit because she was facing a “hateful primary” backed by Trump.
Since leaving the House, Greene has continued to criticize Trump.
And now she is working on creating a new major political party.
