“Fox’s Bret Baier introduced Jen Griffin, their national security correspondent. ‘One of the questions at the news conference was about the strike on a girls’ school near a base in Iran, and it was a Tomahawk missile,’ Baier said. ‘The president said Tomahawks are used by other countries, but an investigation is still ongoing. What do we know about where that stands?’
Earlier today, Trump falsely claimed that Iran had Tomahawk missiles and said they may have been responsible for a bombing that killed at least 165 people—many of them children—in Minab, Iran.
At first, MAGA tried to say it was an Iranian missile that went off course, but later footage showed it was actually a U.S. Tomahawk missile that hit the building.
‘Well, that was a bit surprising to me because the U.S. has Tomahawks, but they have to be fired from submarines or warships,’ said Griffin.
‘The Brits and Australians also have them, but they’re not involved in this conflict. And the Japanese are still testing them.’
‘So it seems very unlikely that anyone other than the U.S. used a Tomahawk to hit that school,’ she continued. ‘
And I think the president knows that. He just knows this was a big mistake and it’s being investigated.’
‘But he’s trying to confuse things by talking about the Tomahawks,’ she added.
‘Yeah, they were saying they didn’t think it was theirs or that Iran misfired.
Are we sure it was a Tomahawk that hit the school?’ asked Baier.
‘There’s no evidence the Iranians fired anything at the school,’ Griffin said bluntly.
‘If you look at the satellite images and the air investigations, they show the impact and the chances that it was a Tomahawk.’
Griffin is absolutely right.
We know for sure that the United States killed those children as part of Trump’s illegal and pointless war. He knows this atrocity makes him look bad politically, so he’s making up crazy explanations to blame someone else. We won’t fall for it.”
