Spanish Member of the European Parliament Irene Montero strongly criticized Donald Trump for starting an illegal war with Iran and urged Spain to leave NATO, saying it is “headed by Donald Trump.” She argued that being allies with the U.S. puts Spain in “serious danger.” Montero, who is part of the left-wing Podemos party, said people shouldn’t have to pay for Trump’s illegal invasions. She called for measures like making public transportation free, controlling the prices of energy, food, and basic goods, and leaving NATO.
Montero said, “We are in a critical situation.
The government itself is recognizing that being an ally of the United States puts us in serious danger because the United States and Israel are the main threats to the security and stability of humanity.” She explained that the U.S. bombs countries for oil, control of trade routes, and strategic military positions. She said it’s urgent to leave NATO now because Trump is the leader of that alliance.
She added, “The United States is putting us in danger, turning us into a military target.
The government must act now to control the prices of energy, food, medicines, and other basic goods. Public transport should be free again to prevent a difficult situation. Trump’s invasions should not be paid for by the people.”
No matter what people think of NATO, it’s hard to blame European countries for wanting to leave because of Trump.
Being allied with a “madman” means you might end up in his wars. Trump attacked Iran without a clear reason, breaking international law. Why would any sane country support such actions?
It’s important to note that any damage Trump causes to NATO is a big win for Russian President Vladimir Putin, who has always wanted NATO to fall apart.
Again, we see the American president helping the Kremlin’s goals.
Spain has already refused to let Trump use its military bases for his war in Iran, forcing U.S. military aircraft out of the country.
Trump responded by threatening to cut all trade with Spain, which is an unreasonable move that will hurt American consumers and weaken the alliance.
This war will be a historic disaster for the U.S., the Middle East, and the entire world.
Electing Donald Trump for a second time was the worst decision this country has ever made.
