Massie said in a recent conversation with the “Free the People” podcast that it really happened at the DOJ when Pam Bondi invited Jim Jordan and all the other Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee to have dinner. He explained that the dinner even included the Justice Department China that hadn’t been used in ages because it had been many years since the DOJ had invited Congress to a “cordial” dinner. Clearly, the Trump administration hoped to get Congress on board before moving forward with their full effort to politicize and corrupt the DOJ.
Massie said that before he went to the dinner, his girlfriend at the time, who is now his wife, suggested that he ask a question of Pam Bondi.
He said, “Jim Jordan told us we each get to ask one question of Pam Bondi, that she’ll take questions.” He asked, “What do you think I should ask?” She suggested, “Ask her when the next phase of those binders is coming out.”
Massie said, “I’m not going to do that.
This is a cordial dinner.” He explained that it was meant to associate names with faces and build a basis for cordial communication as the administration continued its work.
As the day got closer, he decided that was the question he should ask, especially after looking at what wasn’t being released and seeing more public statements from Bondi.
He asked Jordan, “Do you care? I want to let you know, this is the question I want to ask her.” Jordan replied, “You do you, Massie. I’m not going to tell you what to do.”
When Massie arrived, he was seated “very near” to Pam Bondi and Todd Blanche.
He said, “I chatted with them too, before we sat down.” He mentioned other people at the dinner but said he would not name them because they weren’t connected to the Epstein files. He asked Pam Bondi, “When could we expect to see the next tranche of these files?” She told him that the only thing left was child porn and that it was really disgusting, and nobody wanted to see that kind of stuff.
Massie said, “If I were you, if I were a reporter, there would have been a follow up question.”
But he said this was a cordial dinner, and at that point, he realized she had no intention of ever releasing more files. The next day, he told his girlfriend, “Guess what? She said there’s nothing left.”
After that, he said, “Having said there was, you know, tons of this stuff on her desk that she had found.
” He explained that was the seed that eventually became the Epstein Files Transparency Act later that summer.
Now we know there was much more left in the files than just images of child sex abuse.
Bondi is still hiding the names of many of Epstein’s associates and co-conspirators. At that dinner, she had not yet released a large number of documents implicating Trump and other top administration officials like Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick.
Pam Bondi has lied about the Epstein files every step of the way because her duty is not to the truth or to the American people, but to Trump personally and the powerful men around him.
We cannot rest until all the documents are released and everyone involved is investigated and prosecuted.
