Surprise, surprise. Another important person from Trump’s team has been found to have close ties to Epstein, which they didn’t tell the truth about before.
Lutnick said to the news that after visiting Epstein’s home in 2005, he decided, “I will never be in the same room with that awful person again.”
The two had homes next to each other after Epstein sold his building to a group called Comet Trust, which then sold it to Lutnick in 1998.
He must have changed his mind, because emails starting in 2011 show they were in touch and got along.
In 2012, Lutnick was invited to lunch, and Epstein’s assistant wrote on Epstein’s behalf, “it was nice seeing you.” Emails also say that Lutnick and his family went to Epstein’s island together.
Four days later, the two worked together to buy shares in a failed tech company called Adfin.
In 2017, Epstein gave $50,000 to a dinner honoring Lutnick.
In 2018, Lutnick emailed Epstein about plans to expand their nearby Frick Collection art museum, warning him that the new building might block the sunlight and views. He told Epstein to write a letter, send a lawyer, and not ignore the issue.
It seems like they were really friendly even after Epstein was convicted of sex crimes!
Lutnick should step down right away.
He lied to the American people and made money from being connected to one of the worst sex criminals in history. There has to be some kind of punishment.
