During the Secretary of War Crimes’ appearance before Congress today, he and Trump faced a fierce criticism from angry Democrats who are calling for accountability over his disastrous illegal war against Iran and the crimes committed by the US military.
“Mr. Secretary, you keep saying that he is the best commander in chief we’ve ever had, the best negotiator.
But 13 American troops have died. More than 380 have been wounded!” shouted Jacobs.
“The Strait of Hormuz, which was wide open, is now closed.
Less than 90% of traffic through the strait is still not going despite the ceasefire.
The Iranian regime is still in power. It still has nuclear material. The war is costing Americans billions of dollars.”
Then she really stepped in.
“And Mr. Secretary, if you think that this is what winning looks like, then maybe we should be questioning your mental stability.
Maybe you are the one responsible for this failure and the president should think about replacing you!”
Trump and Hegseth are completely delusional if they think that THIS is what winning a war looks like.
Since admitting defeat is not acceptable in this country, they will keep believing these lies until the American people’s votes in the midterm elections change things.
Hegseth should be immediately impeached and put on trial for the murders of the schoolgirls of Minab and the fishermen of the Caribbean.
Anything less would be the endorsement of crimes against humanity by the American government, which is unacceptable.
