BREAKING: Trump SNAPS at CNN Reporter After She Confronts Him With Brutal 27% Latino Approval!

Donald Trump lashed out at CNN senior White House correspondent Kristen Holmes on Monday after she confronted him with a brutal new number: just 27% of Latino voters approve of his performance as president.

Holmes barely got the question out.

“Your approval ratings with Latino voters have dropped down to 27%—” she began as Trump took questions outside the White House before departing for Nebraska.

“Oh, I’m doing great. No, no!” Trump shot back.

Then he turned his fire directly on the reporter and her network.

“You’re fake news! You’re CNN. You’re fake news,” Trump said.

Trump insisted his poll numbers were “great” and pointed instead to the size of the crowds attending his campaign rallies and his claim that Republican candidates improve after he campaigns for them.

Then came the personal shot.

Trump dismissed the poll numbers as fake before telling Holmes that CNN was fake — “and so are you.”

There was one rather significant problem with Trump’s attack.

It wasn’t a CNN poll.

The 27% number Holmes cited came from a new NBC News/Telemundo survey of Latino registered voters — and the findings extend far beyond Trump’s overall approval rating.

The poll found 69% of Latino voters disapprove of Trump’s job performance, compared with just 27% who approve.

On the issue hitting Americans’ wallets, the numbers are even worse.

Only 20% approve of Trump’s handling of the cost of living.

Immigration — an issue Trump has made central to both his presidency and the Republican midterm campaign — doesn’t fare much better. His approval among Latino voters on immigration stands at 30%, while roughly two-thirds of those surveyed said his administration has gone too far with immigration enforcement.

Then there are the midterms.

Asked which party they would prefer to control Congress, Latino voters chose Democrats by a striking 59% to 35% margin.

That’s a notable reversal after Trump made major gains with Latino voters during the 2024 presidential election.

The shift is particularly striking on the economy.

Latino voters now say Democrats would do a better job handling the issue than Republicans by 48% to 27%.

And NBC/Telemundo isn’t the only polling showing Trump’s standing deteriorating with this group.

A separate Reuters/Ipsos poll released Monday put Trump’s approval among Hispanic Americans even lower, at 24% — his lowest level with the group during either of his presidential terms.

All of which makes Trump’s response to Holmes particularly notable.

The CNN reporter didn’t offer an opinion about his standing with Latino voters.

She gave him a number from another news organization’s poll.

Trump’s answer was to attack CNN anyway.

And the exchange comes amid an escalating confrontation between Trump and the network, including his administration’s effort to restrict CNN’s access to the White House press pool and the resulting federal court battle.

With the midterms now just weeks away, the underlying numbers are far more consequential than another Trump-versus-CNN confrontation.

Latino voters were an important part of Trump’s 2024 coalition.

Two years later, multiple new polls are showing that relationship has changed substantially.

And when Kristen Holmes tried to ask the president about it, she didn’t even get to finish the question.
