Weeks of constant, around-the-clock construction.A massive 100-foot-wide granite presidential seal. All of it was destroyed on Donald Trump’s orders — because he thought the South Lawn wasn’t flat enough for his liking.
Talk about waste, fraud, and abuse!
Trump was in a rush to finish a new White House helipad before Chinese President Xi Jinping’s visit in September.
Contractors worked nonstop to meet the deadline. But when Trump saw what they had built, he wasn’t happy — he was really focused on the fact that the natural slope of the South Lawn made the helipad not perfectly level with the horizon.
So he told everyone to take everything apart, including the granite presidential seal that was already started, and told the contractors to literally reshape the lawn itself.
Here’s the thing: helipads don’t need to be perfectly flat.
Federal guidelines allow for some slope to help with water drainage. This isn’t about safety. It’s about Trump wanting things to look exactly the way he wants, no matter the cost or how long it takes.
And who is paying for this expensive, half-finished project that’s now being redone at the last minute?
Lockheed Martin — the big defense company that owns Sikorsky, the maker of Marine One’s helicopters. It’s not clear who will end up paying for Trump’s last-minute design changes.
The White House’s official response was full of spin.
Their spokesman, Davis Ingle, said, “Thanks to President Trump, the White House has never looked better, and it will only continue to get better under his leadership.” But he conveniently left out the fact that the project is now delayed and will cost more, all because the president didn’t like how flat his landing pad looked.
Meanwhile, Marine One is landing on the Ellipse, which is a public park south of the White House, while Trump’s dream helipad remains a construction site that’s only half done.
This is what happens when a president’s personal preferences dictate federal infrastructure decisions: wasted time, wasted money, and a ruined White House lawn — all just to make one man’s vision look perfect.

It doesn’t do any good to write our Congress and US Senate to stop Donald Trump, because they won’t. All of the Republicans are in Trump’s pocket; that is why we must vote these slimballs out of office and elect people who will do for the American citizen and not a mob boss like the Rapist Donald Trump..
Even Republicans who Trump wouldn’t support voted to allow Trump to continue to screw all taxpayers in the USA out of a $1.9 million that Trump wants, from the Social Security fund or whatever it is called today, as North Carolina and Texas senators did yesterday..
