Donald Trump reportedly lost his temper again with another world leader while in the Oval Office last year.
The Wall Street Journal reported on Sunday that during a visit by French President Emmanuel Macron early in Trump’s term, the two leaders tried to have a video call with then-Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
The meeting didn’t go smoothly.
According to the Journal, Trump became frustrated because of a technical problem that stopped him from speaking.
An official who was there told the newspaper that Trump “threw the device over the Resolute Desk and onto the floor.”
Trump has a history of throwing things when he’s upset.
For example, just last month, he pulled his microphone and tossed it to the ground when he got angry and left a “Meet the Press” interview. In another notable incident, he allegedly threw his lunch against the wall when he was upset about the 2020 election.
Cassidy Hutchinson, who worked closely with White House chief of staff Mark Meadows at the time, testified in 2022 that “there was ketchup dripping down the wall, and there was a shattered porcelain plate on the floor.”
She said it wasn’t just one time.
“There were several times throughout my time working with the chief of staff that I was aware of him either throwing dishes or flipping the tablecloth to let everything on the table go onto the floor and likely break or get scattered everywhere,” Hutchinson said.
