“I’ve been doing a lot of thinking. I’m not in Congress right now. I was in Washington, D.C., trying to make my case again,” Newsom said. “I had some productive meetings with the EPA and Lee Zeldin—I don’t want to get him in trouble. But his team is working hard to find ways to assist the victims of last year’s fires in Los Angeles.”

“One thing we want to do, with your support, is to tax 100% of the funds received by anyone from California.
We want to tax all of those proceeds,” Newsom stated. “This is something the state of California can do, and we are eager to move forward with it.”
We think this is a great idea!
Meanwhile, New York Assemblymember Alex Bores has proposed a similar tax in his state. Every state led by Democrats should do the same.
Trump’s $1.8 billion fund for his supporters is an insult to every hardworking American.
This government is taking our tax dollars while grocery and gas prices are rising due to another unnecessary war, and giving that money directly to the President’s most aggressive backers.
States should tax every dollar that comes from that fund and use it to improve roads, bridges, education, and housing.
Let’s spend our tax money on things we truly need, rather than on luxury items for those who betrayed us!
