El-Sayed said during a CNN appearance, “I can’t wait to sit across from RFK Jr.and really question him. He uses big words he doesn’t really understand, and since I went to medical school, I kind of get them.”
“He’s going to be a fun person to hold accountable for all the misinformation he’s spread to the American people,” he added.
“So if you win, is this the Trump official you most want to see testify before you in the Senate?” asked Kaitlan Collins.
“I think it’s the Trump official that most people would want to see me stand up to,” El-Sayed replied.
“Look, I’m a guy with a doctorate in medicine and public health. He’s a guy who takes his kids swimming in Shit’s Creek.”
That’s something we’d really like to see.
RFK Jr.has done a lot of harm to this country by spreading crazy anti-vaccine messages and helping the Trump White House cut back on important health services and resources. But like all Republican liars, he doesn’t have real arguments to back up his claims. If someone with real knowledge pushes him on these complicated topics, he’ll fall apart like a Trump Casino in Atlantic City.
Best of all, El-Sayed isn’t just a medical doctor—he’s also an epidemiologist.
No one is better prepared to expose the false claims about the COVID-19 pandemic that come from the MAGA crowd. And if, for some reason, we face another major virus outbreak under this very weak administration, El-Sayed will be in a great position to save lives.
