Katie Phang, who is on air, announced today that she is taking legal action against the Trump Department of Justice for deliberately hiding Epstein documents, which is against federal law.
Phang explained, “I depend on following the law to do my job as a journalist.
But when people are actively hiding things by breaking a federal law, I can’t do my job. That’s why I’m suing.”
She also wants the court to appoint an independent special master to look over the files.
This person should be someone outside the DOJ, not loyal to Trump or the victims, but someone who works for the American people.
Phang pointed out the usual hypocrisy from Trump’s administration.
They say they have released “everything,” but they are still keeping millions of pages, many of which are heavily redacted. At the same time, Todd Blanche is misleading the public by claiming there’s “nothing left” to release.
This lawsuit is a direct challenge to the Trump administration’s attempt to hide the Epstein files and protect people connected to the scandal.
Phang is no longer under the control of her corporate bosses at MS NOW.
She is doing what most commercial media won’t do — fighting for real transparency.
