Trump’s troubled FBI Director Kash Patel is getting angry after The Atlantic released a serious report about his heavy drinking, missing work without explanation, and risky behavior.
Patel’s lawyer wrote a letter to journalist Sarah Fitzpatrick before the story came out, saying that most of the main claims were “false, not backed by sources, and clearly damaging to his reputation.”
Now Patel is threatening to take the magazine to court, with his lawyer saying they published the story even though they were warned.
In response to the report, Patel posted on X, saying:
“The only time I’ll ever really worry about the bad stories you write about me is when you stop.
Keep writing, it means I’m doing exactly what I should be doing.”
He also added a typical line for his group: “Print it, all false, I’ll see you in court … bring your checkbook.
“
This is the same Kash Patel who was reported to show up at the White House clearly drunk, causing meetings to be delayed, and whose security team was so worried about waking him that they asked to borrow a battering ram from ICE to get into his room.
Instead of addressing the serious concerns raised by one of the country’s top political magazines about his ability to lead the FBI, Patel is attacking the reporter and threatening legal action.
Kash clearly read his MAGA handbook: when caught acting recklessly, double down, act like a victim, and sue the person who reported you.
