In breaking news from the UK, Iran’s state media announced right now that the Strait of Hormuz – a key waterway where almost 20% of the world’s oil flows, and which has been a major focus of Trump’s illegal Iran war – is now closed again.
Iran says the US hasn’t kept its promises under the ceasefire deal.
Earlier, both sides had agreed to let a limited number of ships pass through the strait, but that plan has now fallen apart completely.
Iran wanted full access for all ships, including their own oil tankers.
The Trump administration was stopping many of those ships because they were worried Iran would use the money from selling oil to buy weapons and start more fighting.
Some say Trump didn’t want Iran to make money by charging ships passing through the strait without him getting a share, so he changed the rules again in the middle of the diplomacy game as usual.
Now Iran is saying “no more” and has stopped all shipping through this important waterway.
This dangerous situation happened because Trump’s careless and poorly handled ceasefire agreement broke down almost right away.
Instead of bringing peace, his actions have made the Middle East even more unstable and created more risks for the global economy.
