In a harsh, disrespectful Easter message to Iran, Donald Trump appears determined to destroy Iran’s civilian buildings and called next Tuesday “Power Plant Day,” suggesting he’s ready to ignore the usual rules of war.
“Tuesday will be Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day, all in one, in Iran.
There will be nothing like it!!! Open the Fuckin’ Strait, you crazy bastards, or you’ll be living in Hell – JUST WATCH!” Trump wrote.
What a strange thing to say on the most important day of the Christian year.
Seemingly encouraged by last night’s dramatic rescue of an American pilot, the threat ended with a very strange and deeply disrespectful religious comment, surely offensive to Muslims given the context: “Praise be to Allah.”
This happens as Trump’s illegal war keeps getting worse, American soldiers are being attacked, gas prices are going up at home, and the world is stunned as the U.S. president sounds more like a bully with nuclear weapons than a responsible leader.
While families deal with the effects of his reckless war, Trump is openly thinking about turning Tuesday into a day of destruction against Iran’s buildings.
Why?
Because he’s been forced into a corner by the war he started but can’t finish. He can’t deal with the results of starting a war he can’t end.
