Jack White, the famous singer of The White Stripes and a regular critic of Donald Trump, recently made a strong comment about Trump’s latest action: putting his own name on U.S. money. In a harsh post, White wrote:
“Oh, how humble!
But why stop there, Donnie? Why not use your small hands to sign into law that your very serious orange face appears on the front of the hundred-dollar bill as well?”
“You might as well, since Congress and the American people — and to some degree, the rest of the world — are all just letting you do whatever you want to anyway …”
He continued with his sharp humor on international issues:
“Invade Cuba next?
Sure! Go ahead, nobody’s stopping you. America gave the most powerful job in the world to a cunning, loophole-hunting, arrogant, conman … because … he’s just so great! He DESERVES to be treated like a king.”
White then turned serious, pointing out the real problems caused by Trump’s actions.
He mentioned that TSA agents, who haven’t been paid for a month because Trump insisted on linking a bill to fund the Department of Homeland Security with his election-related SAVE Act, are selling their plasma to pay rent. He also noted that gas prices are rising because of Trump’s policies and the country is dealing with the mess he created:
“TSA agents are selling plasma to pay rent while he takes the day off, cheats at golf, and bombs other countries for fun … Congrats, Donnie!
You deserve it!”
He ended with a funny jab about Trump’s endless scheme: “My Trump Bible, tennis shoes, commemorative coins, and gold phone have all still not arrived in my mailbox yet …”
The thoughtful musician, still connected to his roots among working-class people, has hit the mark on the national mood: Trump’s ego is out of control, treating the presidency like his own personal brand while regular Americans face the consequences.
