Trump’s habit of lying all the time has landed him in trouble again. Maybe he thought no one would check on what he said, but they did, and it turned out he made it up. He claimed an ex-president called him to thank him for starting a bad, harmful war with Iran and said he was doing the right thing. But that didn’t happen.
He said, “For 47 years, no president was willing to do what I’m doing.
They should have done it a long time ago. It would have been a lot easier. No president wanted to do it. And yet every president knew. I’ve spoken to a certain president, who I like, actually — a past president — former president. He said, ‘I wish I did it. I wish I did.’ But they didn’t do it. I’m doing it.”
Reporters noticed this and started asking the representatives of the four living former presidents.
CNN White House correspondent Samantha Waldenburg reported that “all four living former US presidents have not talked to President Trump about Iran, aides tell @jeffzeleny and I, raising questions about whether such a conversation actually took place.”
Of course it didn’t happen!
He made it up, just like he makes up everything, because he’s a lying person who is also really insecure and always needs approval.
In this case, he’s feeling really bad about starting an illegal war with Iran that’s very unpopular, causing gas prices to go up and hurting Americans.
So he made up praise from his past leaders, who were smart enough not to do it.
This is really sad and another sign of how unfit he is to lead our country.
