Donald Trump has always been open about wanting to run for a third term, but now he seems to be thinking about something even longer-lasting.
In a video posted on Truth Social on Sunday, Trump talked about leading forever, showing himself ruling for thousands of years past the 2028 election deadline.
The strange clip came just hours after he shared an AI video of himself throwing feces at “No Kings” protesters.
Many of his supporters liked the video a lot.
The 79-year-old posted the video Sunday evening.
It was an edited version of a 2018 TIME article about Trumpism. In the background, there’s a doctored image of Trump looking at a pro-Trump lawn sign, with the date rising to 90,000. He then says “EEEEEE” and “4EVA.” The background music is Grieg’s “In the Hall of the Mountain King.”
The video soon appeared on X, where one Trump fan said, “I’m good with that.”
Another fan said, “We need to clone him!” A third supporter added, “They’re scared because they think Elon Musk and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. might find a way to keep Trump alive forever.”
Even though Trump hasn’t mentioned the year 90,000 before, he and his team have talked about running again in 2028.
When Trump biographer Michael Wolff told the Daily Beast that a third term could be “a very real possibility,” a White House spokesperson shared a photo of Trump smiling while meeting with lawmakers, surrounded by “Trump 2028” hats. Trump is currently selling the same hats in his official store.
On the Inside Trump’s Head podcast, Wolff suggested that Trump would do anything to stay in power.
“An authoritarian breaks so many rules and makes so many enemies that to avoid being punished, he has to stay in power.
That’s how the game is played,” he said.
